This is a farcical black comedy revolving around the Brewster family. Mortimer, a theatre critic, engaged to girl-next-door Elaine, has always known that his family has a few mad genes . his brother believes himself to be Teddy Roosevelt and his great-grandfather used to scap Indians for pleasure - but his world is turned upside down when he realises that his dear aunts have been poisoning lonely old men for years.  When Mortimer's manical brother Jonathan (who strangley now ressembles Boris Karloff) returns on the night that the aunts were planning to bury their newest victim, Mortimer must rally to help his aunts and protect his fiancée - all while trying to keep his own sanity as well.  Add to that a host of colourful minor characters, each bringing his/her own agenda into the Brewster household we have the recipe for much laughter. This classic play combines two favourite Ostensibles topics - murder and laughter.
